"GIVE IT UP" WEDNESDAYS

If you were born in the 80s or 90s you probably didn't have a huge selection of music to vibe out to, which is great for us & I'll get to that in a sec. We didn't have Ipods, free streaming music, a new genre every day to choose from, hell, we barely knew what the internet was. Yes there was top 40, hip hop, & alternative rock but that was really about it. Unless, of course, you were forced to listen to your mother's music while she was cooking or cleaning.

It was a type of music that was captivating but to a young soul you didn't care to hear that shit. "Mom put on this new Warren G CD.... Reeeeeegulators! Mount up!". My requests never made it past the tip of my tongue haha. Now that we're a bit older we can appreciate that music on a whole new level. A nostalgic level that brings us back to our youth. Not to mention the comparison in quality of lyrics from todays music to music of our past time.

Every Wednesday I host a fun little spot I call "GIVE IT UP". We focus on playing all the jams from the Motown, Funk, & Soul genres and sprinkle in a few remixes. Wednesday nights are the best nights for this because it brings out regulars that actually enjoy the music enough to sing at the top of their lungs every week. Oh, and it allows me to offer you the best drink specials around.
