"OFF SAFETY" by Paul "ANIMAL" Chan

My good friend & mentor, Paul "ANIMAL" Chan, just landed himself a 12 page spread in BE STREET Magazine's first U.S. issue and a sweet video on THE HUNDREDS Youtube channel. They both highlight his previous & current show, "Off Safety", of legendary hip hop artists at their ripening. Wayne with no sleeve tats? Young Dre & Em? Scolding Wu-Tang?

Originally a designer for Kronick Magazine, Paul “Animal” Chan couldn’t help but notice a lack of impressive stock photography when he was creating the layout. So, he picked up his father’s Nikon and set out to capture anything better than the repetitive shots he saw scattered throughout C and D tier mags - leading him to his first shoot with Wu-Tang Clan.

This guy blows my mind every time we talk. Which is pretty much every day. I'm extremely stoked for Paul as he's leaving for NY tomorrow to set up his art show at the ever so popular, Kinfolk Gallery.
